What's a visit with me like?
I'm always on baby's schedule when I do a home or virtual visit! Usually we weigh baby before and after a feeding. We also spend at least a half hour talking about any feeding concerns and treatment options going forward. I make sure to thoroughly explain the pros and cons of each option so that the parents can make informed decisions. Then, if there are any products I think the parent needs- like a breast pump flange or nipple shield- I provide that at no extra cost. I offer unlimited follow up advice via text, email, or phone
Describe your philosophy towards breastfeeding and feeding.
Breastfeeding/chestfeeding/pumping are easy for some, but involve a range of challenges for others. With feeding concerns, one-size-fits-all advice is rarely helpful. I strive to provide families with all available information, resources and options. Together, we investigate and holistically treat every concern in the ways that work best for the individual.
What is your favorite part of working with new parents and infants?
I love getting to know a whole family! The newborn phase is such a transitional time, especially when baby is the first in their family. While I support parents in navigating all of their uncertainties I get to watch them learn and become more confident in their parenting. Of course, I also enjoy watching parents fall further in love with their baby as their feeding-related stress decreases.
Describe any particular areas of expertise related to feeding
Induced lactation, oversupply, low supply, breastmilk allergy, nipple damage
Testimonials
“Lindsey was imperative in the success of my breastfeeding journey. As a first time mom I had many doubts, fears, and questions. Lindsey met all of those head on. All of my doubts dissipated and questions were answered. Her warm personality made me feel supported. When challenges arose Lindsey was very responsive. Her advice, tips, and tricks made it clear that she is extremely knowledgeable. We discussed and solved problems surrounding a forceful letdown, reflux, a gassy baby, and poor latching. Her knowledge is evidence based and research backed- it is clear she loves her job and is passionate about helping women with their breastfeeding struggles! Aside from her knowledge and passion, it is also worth mentioning that Lindsey is very emotionally supportive. For example, during cluster feeding when I was fatigued and felt at an all time low, her support was what helped me to keep pushing through. Long story short, Lindsey is an amazing lactation consultant!”

“Lindsey is very knowledgable, supportive, kind, and attentive. She gave us the re-assurance we needed regarding breastfeeding my then 5-week-old baby. I felt like a pro ever since. We are still in touch when I have questions. Also, great sense of humor.”
