What's a visit with me like?

My visits last between 1.5-2 hours. I talk with you first, weigh your baby (before and after feeding), observe a feeding to work on positioning and latch issues, and review your pumping if needed. We will cover any other questions you may have such as diet, feeding amounts, diaper output, infant growth, milk storage, etc. I provide unlimited support after my appointment.

Describe your philosophy towards breastfeeding and feeding.
My job is to support your breastfeeding goal, no matter what it may be. I’m a low key person and will encourage you to feel confident even when things are stressful. I have a lot of knowledge from years of experience, but you know yourself and your baby better than anyone! Each family is unique and I look forward to working with you and supporting you in your new role as caregiver.

What is your favorite part of working with new parents and infants?
Hearing your story and experiences and learning from you. Then being able to give you information so you can feel more confident in feeding your baby.

Describe any particular areas of expertise related to feeding
Late preterm, premature, pumping, supplementing, infants with medical conditions

“I’m a first time mom and was nervous about breastfeeding as I had surgery as a teenager on my left nipple and was told I might not be able to breastfeed on that side. I arranged for a lactation consultant through WellNested for two days post discharge as extra support. Anne-Marie was great! She helped ensure my daughters latch was good, fit me to the right nipple shield (helped for my left side) and flange, and made sure my daughter was getting enough milk with each feed (preformed a pre and post feed weight). Anne-Marie was also available post appointment for any questions I had. Thank you WellNested for making me feel more confident and comfortable with the breastfeeding experience!”
