What's a visit with me like?
Typically- I like to learn more about the family before we dive right in- what their pregnancy and birth was like. What are their goals? What are the barriers to these goals? Then observing the baby latching or bottle feeding in a familiar setting for the parent. We then continue to chat- go over an attainable plan - what that will look like for this individual family and how I will help to support them. I am always available to my clients for follow-up support via text or call- even months down the road.
Describe your philosophy towards breastfeeding and feeding.
I believe in supporting parents in their goals towards breast/chest feeding-whatever that may look like. I am also a firm believer that some breastmilk is better than no breastmilk.
What is your favorite part of working with new parents and infants?
I love working with new families in such a special vulnerable period of their lives- especially when I am able to help them accomplish their goals.
Describe any particular areas of expertise related to feeding
Well rounded in all forms of breastfeeding - SNS, Twins, Pumping etc.
